Working within a small multi-disciplinary team, the chosen applicant will help maintain the building services infrastructures for The Newcastle Hospital Trust.

Main duties of the job
The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to recruit an Engineering Technician to join the Estates Operational Team.
The successful candidate will join a team of Technicians responsible for the maintenance, repair and validation of over 180+ Dental chairs as well as associated equipment such as: Lights, Spittoons, Amalgam Separators, bracket tables, etc.
Applicants must demonstrate flexibility and initiative when dealing with a wide range of engineering services and will have experience maintaining equipment as part of a planned preventative maintenance program.
Applicants must have served a recognised apprenticeship in either Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and have post-apprenticeship experience. Previous experience within an Acute Hospital is desirable.
The successful candidate will have good communication skills and is expected to work with various levels of staff across the Trust.
