The Medical Physics Department support users of medical equipment at Salford royal NHS foundation Trust and in Salford community health. We are looking to fill a vacant Senior post as technical support engineer.
You will have a key role in supporting the departments responsibility for the maintenance, repair and sub-contractor management of Medical equipment. This will Include first line support to users of Medical equipment to Optimise systems up time to gain maximum use of Medical equipment. You will be part of a team who monitor regulatory compliance of Medical devices used in the organisation and act as the interface between supplier, procurement, external bodies and users when investigating root causes of device incidents.
For the band 6 post Ideally you will possess a minimum of HNC in Electronics and Clinical engineering and have a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience since qualifying in the field of Medical Electronics. Knowledge in the application and repair on a wide range of Medical equipment used in a hospital and community is essential although some specific training will be provided.
Consideration may be given to applicants will reduced Knowledge and skills, who follow a personnel development program on a reduced grade.
